The Great Gatsby video game turns the book into an 8-bit side-scrolling platformer with classic NES game-style look. Through levels modeled by the book's locations, players control Nick Carraway as he fights foes by throwing hats. Key themes from the book are plentiful in the game, such as Gatsby's house, speakeasies, and the venerable green light. Jazz music is replicated in old chiptune manner and characters like Gatsby and Daisy show there. It playfully, pixelated the universe rewrites the story's themes of luxury, delusion, and longing.
